BHALCHANDRA VYANKATESH PENDHARKAR popularly known as
‘Anna’ Pendharkar.
Anna has successfully completed sixty-four years of theatre
and drama since he took over the reins of Lalitkaladarsha
in 1942.
The success of Lalitkaladarsha was enabled by Anna with
his efficient direction as a responsible production head.
Being a vocalist and a performer, he flawlessly enacted the
roles of ‘Digu’,
‘Bala’, ‘Narad’,
‘PanditRaj Jagannath’
during his dramatics career. He acquired name and fame mainly
through these roles.
Lalitkaladarsh, which has successfully completed 99 years,
is entering into it's Centenary year on 1st January, 2007.
On this occasion, from 3rd January, 2007 to 6th January 2007,
Lalitkaladarsh would be hosting it's Centenary Celebrations.
